Anti-Drug Day Observation in the Campus

The NSS unit of the college initiated an anti-drug awareness campaign to increase awareness and knowledge about the potential health, social, and legal consequences of illicit drug use. The campaign aims to promote community participation and public cooperation in reducing the demand for addictive substances. As part of the campaign, the NSS Unit pasted “TOBACCO FREE CAMPUS” stickers to the college campus to raise awareness.

The program was inaugurated by Advocate M M Salim, the College Managing Committee Secretary & Correspondent, who pasted the first sticker proclaiming the campus as "Tobacco-Free Campus." Dr. Murugan R, the College Principal, delivered an impactful anti-drug awareness message. The event witnessed the participation of College Vice Principal Lagheesh V M, NSS Program Officers Sunitha K S Nair, Reshma P R, other teachers, and students.

Also an awareness program was conducted in the college Mini Auditorium, with the objective of educating our students about the dangers of drug abuse, including the harmful effects of new psychoactive drugs. The program commensed at 12 pm with the prayer song. Mr. M.P Ummer, Preventive Officer of Aluva Excise was the resource person,  shared his experiences and incidents in the field. Dr.Murugan R, the principal presided over the function. Adv. M.M Salim, College Managing Committe Secretary & Correspondent presented a token of appreciation to the resource person. Ms. Sunitha K.S Nair, NSS Programme Officer, welcomed the gathering and Mr. AjiDaniyal, College Anti-Drug Convenor, proposed vote of thanks.
