Observation of Anti-Drug Day at Govt. High School, Kunjattukara.
On 27th June 2023, in connection with World Antidrug Day, the National Service Scheme (NSS) and College Antidrug Club organized a flash mob and an Anti -Drug oath ceremony. The event took place at Kunjattukara Government High School, at 11:30 am. The primary aim of the program was to raise antidrug awareness among the students.
Mr. M.P Ummer, Preventive Excise Officer , Aluva, had delivered Anti- Drug message and also took an oath against Anti - Drug. The whole students of school were participated the program. During the flash mob, 18 students from various departments showcased their talents and performed to spread the message of antidrug awareness. The energetic performance captivated the audience and effectively conveyed the importance of leading a drug-free life.
To further amplify the reach of the awareness program, “TOBACCO FREE CAMPUS” stickers were pasted at the adopted school premises and nearby shops. This initiative aimed to engage the local community and promote antidrug sentiments beyond the event itself.
The event witnessed the active participation of Mr. Mr. M.P Ummer, Preventive Excise Officer , Aluva, Advocate M. M. Salim, the College Managing Committee Secretary, Dr. Murugan R., the College Principal, and Jijimol K.P, the School Headmistress. NSS Program Officers and NSS Volunteers also played vital roles in organizing and executing the program.
The core objective of this program was to combat tobacco consumption and reduce the associated health risks and fatalities. By raising awareness and promoting a drug-free lifestyle, the organizers aimed to contribute to a healthier and safer community.
