Cleaning Campaign at Govt. High School, Kunjattukara

As a part of Cleanliness Drive, we are supposed to clean Govt H.S.S Kunjttukara. Clean environment in school contributes a healthy environment for the students to learn and also encourages a good workplace for the teachers, eventually helping the kids to grow in a motivating and nurturing atmosphere.

NSS Unit of MES M.K Mackar Pillay College For Advanced Studies, Edathalaorganised a one day cleaning campaign at Govt H.S.S Kunjttukara on 19/05/2023. Mrs. Javani, Senior Teacher of schoolwelcomed all for the programme. Mrs. PreejaKunjumon, President of EdathalaGrama Panchayath inaugrated the session; Mrs. Hamsa, PTA President; Dr. Murugan R, College Principal; Lagheesh V. M, College Vice Principal; Sunitha K. S Nair, Reshma P R, NSS Programme Officers and other teachers also participated in the programme.

We started the cleaning campaign at 10 am with 25 NSS students. Teachers of Kunjattukara school actively participated in the programme and also arranged tea and snacks for the NSS volunteers.

Yoga Day Celebrations - 2023

Yoga is the ancient way to attain physical, mental, and spiritual practice. Primarily originating in India, the word 'yoga' is derived from Sanskrit, meaning to unite. This unity signifies the ultimate union of the body with consciousness and thus attaining definitive peace. Recognizing the universal appeal of Yoga, on 11 December 2014, the United Nations proclaimed June 21 to be marked as the International Day of Yoga. Health & Yoga Club in association with National Service Scheme celebrated International Yoga Day to make awareness among the students regarding the benefits of practicing Yoga. Adopting this practice is believed to provide significant relief from physical ailments and mental tension which plagues our day to day life.  The resource person for the program was Ms. Binu Dileep, Yoga Trainer of Kunjattukara. Young Innovators Program (YIP)

YIP is a specially designed program under Kerala Development and Innovation Strategic Council (K-DISC). The program aims to empower future innovators to innovate new products, services or models to meet emerging requirements, unarticulated needs, or existing market needs of the society more effectively through an innovative challenge. YIP Cell organized Young Innovators Program for PG & UG students of the college on 22 nd June 2023 at college Mini Auditorium. The program aims to formulate groups for the submission of innovative ideas. Mr. Ajin Omanakkuttan, Assistant Program Manager, YIP Ernakulam District and YIP Intern Mr. Muhammed Ashik, were the resource persons of the workshop. Dr. Murugan R, Principal of the College, delivered introductory speech. Welcome address delivered by Ms. Reshma P R and vote of thanks by Ms. Bushara V B.
