Anti-Drug Day Observation in the Campus

The NSS unit of the college initiated an anti-drug awareness campaign to increase awareness and knowledge about the potential health, social, and legal consequences of illicit drug use. The campaign aims to promote community participation and public cooperation in reducing the demand for addictive substances. As part of the campaign, the NSS Unit pasted “TOBACCO FREE CAMPUS” stickers to the college campus to raise awareness. The program was inaugurated by Advocate M M Salim, the College Managing Committee Secretary & Correspondent, who pasted the first sticker proclaiming the campus as "Tobacco-Free Campus." Dr. Murugan R, the College Principal, delivered an impactful anti-drug awareness message. Helping others is an important part of life; it gives us a sense of purpose and boosts our happiness while positively affecting the world around us . Department of Commerce organised “PRATHEEKSHA-2023”, an event to distribute free study materials at Govt. High school, Kunjattukara on 27th June 2023 to develop empathy and sympathy for others among students. Shri. Anwar Sadath, MLA inaugurated the session under the presidency of Adv. M.M Salim, College Managing Committee Secretary. Shri. Observation of Anti-Drug Day at Govt. High School, Kunjattukara.

On 27th June 2023, in connection with World Antidrug Day, the National Service Scheme (NSS) and College Antidrug Club organized a flash mob and an Anti -Drug oath ceremony. The event took place at Kunjattukara Government High School,  at  11:30 am. The primary aim of the program was to raise antidrug awareness among the students. Mr. M.P Ummer, Preventive Excise Officer ,  Aluva, had delivered Anti- Drug message and also took   an oath against Anti - Drug. The whole students of school were participated the program. During the flash mob, 18 students from various departments showcased their talents and performed to spread the message of antidrug awareness. The energetic performance captivated the audience and effectively conveyed the importance of leading a drug-free life. Open Art Competition - as part of the National Reading Day Observation

  In connection with National Reading Day, the Department of Commerce organised an Open Art Competition in association with Readers forum to engage students in a creative exercise to express themselves, stimulate their creativity and innovative ideas through art.The topic for the  pencil drawing competition was “Characters of my favourite book”. Ms.Riksana M A ( III B.Com CA) and Ms. Vishnupriya S (III B.Com Tax) were the student coordinators of the program. The competition was conducted at college mini auditorium at 1.30 pm and twenty participants from various departments were participated. Ms. Riksana M A (III B.com CA) and  Ms. Femina T S (III BBA) have secured first and second positions respectively. Prizes for the winners were distributed on 23/06/2023. Young Innovators Program (YIP)

YIP is a specially designed program under Kerala Development and Innovation Strategic Council (K-DISC). The program aims to empower future innovators to innovate new products, services or models to meet emerging requirements, unarticulated needs, or existing market needs of the society more effectively through an innovative challenge. YIP Cell organized Young Innovators Program for PG & UG students of the college on 22 nd June 2023 at college Mini Auditorium. The program aims to formulate groups for the submission of innovative ideas. Mr. Ajin Omanakkuttan, Assistant Program Manager, YIP Ernakulam District and YIP Intern Mr. Muhammed Ashik, were the resource persons of the workshop. Yoga Day Celebrations - 2023

Yoga is the ancient way to attain physical, mental, and spiritual practice. Primarily originating in India, the word 'yoga' is derived from Sanskrit, meaning to unite. This unity signifies the ultimate union of the body with consciousness and thus attaining definitive peace. Recognizing the universal appeal of Yoga, on 11 December 2014, the United Nations proclaimed June 21 to be marked as the International Day of Yoga. Health & Yoga Club in association with National Service Scheme celebrated International Yoga Day to make awareness among the students regarding the benefits of practicing Yoga. Adopting this practice is believed to provide significant relief from physical ailments and mental tension which plagues our day to day life.  The resource person for the program was Ms. Binu Dileep, Yoga Trainer of Kunjattukara.
